American Hospital Dubai is at the forefront of surgical innovation and is seeking a highly skilled Staff Nurse to join our state-of-the-art Robotic Operating Room team. You will be responsible for providing direct, age-specific patient care in a technologically advanced surgical environment. This role requires a commitment to professional performance, safe patient care, and adherence to Joint Commission International (JCI) standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and coordinate care plans in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary surgical team.
• Maintain a sterile field and ensure a safe surgical environment through strict adherence to protocols for instrument counts, fire prevention, and infection control.
• Operate and manage specialized surgical equipment, including Arthroscopy and Laparoscopic tower systems, with a focus on robotic-assisted procedures.
• Handle and manage surgical specimens, sharps, and hazardous materials according to established safety guidelines.
• Assist in a variety of surgical procedures, including those for pediatric patients, ensuring all specific needs are met.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all patient data in compliance with hospital and JCI standards.
• Participate in team communication, unit-based quality improvement initiatives, and ongoing professional education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (minimum 3-year full-time course duration).
• Minimum of two (2) years of recent post-graduate experience in an Operating Room setting.
• Must hold a valid license/registration to practice in your home country and/or country of last employment.
• A valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Strong skills in patient assessment, care coordination, and prioritization within a surgical environment.
• Experience or strong interest in robotic-assisted surgery is highly desirable.
