Medical Imaging Nurse - American Hospital, Dubai

Description

American Hospital Dubai is looking for a detail-oriented and skilled Staff Nurse to join our Medical Imaging department. You will provide essential support and assistance across a wide range of diagnostic and interventional procedures, including Nuclear Medicine Cardiac Stress Tests, biopsies, and management of various vascular access devices. This role is critical in ensuring patient safety and comfort during imaging procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in administering and monitoring patients under moderate/conscious sedation during radiology procedures.
• Aid in conducting and overseeing Nuclear Medicine Cardiac Stress Tests.
• Support interventional procedures such as liver biopsies, lumbar punctures, paracentesis, and thoracentesis.
• Manage implanted ports and Peripherally Inserted Central Catheters (PICCs), including accessing, blood sampling, flushing, and dressing changes.
• Perform Point-of-Care Testing (POCT) for renal Creatinine blood tests.
• Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to plan and prioritize patient care, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete.
• Maintain a safe environment, ensuring availability of supplies and adherence to all JCIA and infection control standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (minimum 3-year full-time course duration).
• Must hold a valid license/registration to practice in your home country (DHA eligibility required).
• Minimum of two (2) years of recent post-graduate experience in Medical Imaging Nursing.
• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Strong skills in patient assessment and care coordination in a procedural setting.
• Knowledge of and ability to render care based on age, appropriateness, and developmental needs of patients.
