American Hospital Dubai is seeking a vigilant and skilled Shift Plant Operator to join our Facilities Management team. You will be responsible for monitoring and operating the hospital's critical plant and utility systems, including HVAC, electrical, medical gas, and water systems. This role is essential for ensuring a safe, comfortable, and uninterrupted environment for patient care, 24/7.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and control all plant equipment through the Building Management System (BMS).
• Operate, maintain, and perform routine checks on HVAC, chiller plants, boilers, and medical gas systems.
• Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems, including backup generators and UPS units.
• Respond promptly to system alarms, troubleshoot issues, and escalate complex problems as required.
• Maintain accurate operational logs, checklists, and maintenance records.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks according to schedule to ensure system reliability.
• Ensure strict adherence to all safety regulations and hospital protocols.

Qualifications

• Vocational Certificate or Diploma in a relevant technical field (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, HVAC).
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Plant Operator, preferably in a hospital, hotel, or large-scale facility.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS), HVAC, and electrical systems.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a rotating shift schedule.
• Strong commitment to safety and operational excellence.
