American Hospital Dubai is seeking a dedicated Staff Nurse for our specialized Rheumatology Outpatient (OPD) Clinic. You will be responsible for providing direct, patient-centered care to adult and geriatric populations with rheumatological conditions. This role involves coordinating patient care, performing various medical assessments, and assisting with procedures to support musculoskeletal and respiratory evaluations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform specialized assessments, including the 6-minute walk test and bedside spirometry, to evaluate patient function.
• Provide assistance to physicians during procedures such as intra-articular injections and proctoscopy.
• Conduct age-specific patient assessments and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to develop comprehensive care plans.
• Coordinate and prioritize patient care, involving patients and their families in the planning process.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation in compliance with hospital and Joint Commission International (JCI) standards.
• Ensure a safe environment for patients and staff by adhering to all safety and infection control protocols.
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives and maintain professional competency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (minimum 3-year full-time course duration).
• Must hold a valid license/registration to practice in your home country and/or country of last employment (DHA eligibility required).
• Minimum of two (2) years of recent post-graduate experience in Internal Medicine nursing.
• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) and Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certifications are essential.
• Strong skills in patient assessment, care coordination, and prioritization.
• Ability to render care based on the age, appropriateness, and developmental needs of patients.
