NICU Nurse - NMC Specialty Hospital, Al Ain

Description

NMC Specialty Hospital in Al Ain is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse for our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). You will be responsible for providing specialized, high-acuity care to our most vulnerable patients. This vital role involves assessing, planning, and implementing care for premature and critically ill newborns, while providing crucial support and education to their families.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform systematic and continuous assessments of critically ill and premature newborns.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans in collaboration with the interprofessional team.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and treatments, and assist with complex medical procedures specific to the NICU.
• Operate and monitor advanced medical equipment, including ventilators, incubators, and monitoring systems.
• Educate new parents about breastfeeding, newborn care, and provide essential emotional support.
• Strictly adhere to all safety, infection control (IPC), and occupational health (OSHMS) protocols.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient documentation in compliance with ADHICS and hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Must hold an appropriate license to practice as a Registered Nurse from the relevant UAE health authority (DOH).
• Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider card. NRP is highly desirable.
• Proven experience as a Registered Nurse, with specific experience in a NICU setting strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written).
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of an inter-professional team.
• Arabic language skills are desirable but not essential.
