Emergency Nurse (Maternity & Pediatrics) - NMC, Abu Dhabi

Description

NMC Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse with specialized experience in emergency care for our Maternity and Child Emergency Room in Abu Dhabi. You will be responsible for providing and coordinating immediate patient care, educating families, and offering crucial emotional support in a high-stakes environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide immediate and comprehensive emergency nursing care to pediatric and maternity patients.
• Perform systematic patient assessments, record vital signs, and rapidly identify patient needs.
• Coordinate care with Obstetricians, Neonatologists, and Pediatricians to ensure comprehensive patient management.
• Administer emergency medications, IV fluids, and other treatments while monitoring for reactions.
• Perform essential life support (BLS) and assist in invasive or non-invasive medical procedures as needed.
• Educate and support patients and their families during stressful emergency situations.
• Facilitate the safe admission, transfer, or discharge of patients.

Qualifications

• Must hold an appropriate license to practice as a Registered Nurse from the DOH (Abu Dhabi).
• Must have proven experience in an Emergency Room or Urgent Care setting.
• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Experience with pediatric and/or maternity patients is highly desirable.
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, team-oriented environment.
