Consultant – Nephrologist - Dubai, UAE

📋 Full Job Description:

🔍 Position Overview:

• Full-time Consultant-level role in the Nephrology Department
• Focused on managing patients with acute and chronic renal diseases, including dialysis and transplant support

🩺 Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and manage conditions like:
  • CKD, AKI, glomerulonephritis, hypertension, electrolyte imbalance
• Supervise and manage dialysis treatments (hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis)
• Provide inpatient consultations in ICU, ER, and medical wards
• Work closely with transplant surgeons and coordinate pre- and post-transplant care
• Review and interpret lab results, imaging, and renal biopsies
• Guide diabetic and hypertensive patients to manage renal decline
• Maintain high-standard clinical documentation and ensure full compliance with Dubai Health Authority (DHA) requirements
• Participate in audits, CME programs, and quality improvement projects

🎓 Requirements:

• Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from an accredited university
• Board-certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology (e.g., ABIM, FRCP, MRCP + CCT, FRCPC, or equivalent)
• Western-trained is mandatory (UK, USA, Canada, Europe, Australia, New Zealand)
• Minimum 2 years post-specialization experience at Consultant level
• Eligible for or licensed by the Dubai Health Authority (DHA)
• Knowledge of latest nephrology guidelines and dialysis protocols
• Skilled in vascular access evaluation and renal administration
