Consultant – Interventional Radiologist - Dubai, UAE

📋 Full Job Description:

🔍 Position Overview:

• Full-time Consultant role in the Department of Radiology with specialization in Interventional Radiology
• Involves minimally invasive procedures performed under imaging guidance using state-of-the-art technology

🩺 Key Responsibilities:

• Perform a broad range of interventional procedures, including but not limited to:
  • Vascular and non-vascular interventions
  • Angioplasty, stenting, embolization (UAE, TACE), biopsies, drainages
  • Central venous access, percutaneous nephrostomy, biliary drainage, varicose vein treatment
• Assist in advanced oncological interventions such as:
  • Radiofrequency ablation, TARE, and port placement
• Analyze imaging and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (oncology, nephrology, surgery, and emergency care)
• Conduct both inpatient and outpatient procedures and consultations
• Contribute to the development of interventional protocol pathways and research initiatives
• Maintain detailed patient documentation in line with Dubai Health Authority (DHA) standards
• Educate junior staff, attend MDTs, and participate in diagnostic-radiology crossovers where required

🎓 Position Requirements:

• Medical Degree (MD or equivalent) from an accredited institution
• Fellowship-trained in Interventional Radiology
• Board Certification in Radiology with Interventional specialization (e.g. American Board, FRCR, FRANZCR, RCPSC)
• Minimum of 2 years post-board certification experience
• Must be Western-trained (UK, US, Canada, Australia, Europe)
• Eligible or currently licensed with Dubai Health Authority (DHA)
• Strong communication and procedural skills
