Consultant – Interventional Cardiologist (Hospital-Based, Dubai)

📋 Full Job Description:

🔍 Position Overview:

• Full-time Consultant-level position in the Cardiology Department
• Specializing in Interventional Cardiology procedures in inpatient and outpatient settings

🩺 Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and manage patients with coronary artery disease, structural heart disease, and arrhythmias
• Perform interventional procedures such as:
  • Coronary angioplasty (PCI)
  • Coronary stenting
  • Cardiac catheterization
  • Intravascular imaging (IVUS, OCT)
  • Fractional Flow Reserve (FFR)
• Collaborate with cardiac surgeons, ICU consultants, imaging specialists, and cardiac rehab professionals
• Provide pre- and post-procedure counseling and care
• Oversee inpatient cardiac patients and manage emergencies like STEMIs in the cath lab
• Maintain meticulous documentation in compliance with Dubai Health Authority (DHA) standards
• Contribute to continuous quality improvement, case reviews, research, and CME

🎓 Requirements:

• Medical Degree (MD or equivalent) from an accredited institution
• Fellowship training in Interventional Cardiology (recognized Western program)
• Board Certification in Cardiology + Interventional credentials (e.g., ABIM, MRCP + CCT, FRCP, RCPSC)
• Minimum 2 years of experience at consultant level post-fellowship
• Must be Western-trained (USA, UK, Canada, Europe, Australia, or New Zealand)
• Eligible or licensed by Dubai Health Authority (DHA)
