📋 Full Job Description:

🔍 Position Overview:

  • Hospital-based, full-time Consultant position in the Neonatology or NICU Department
  • Involves managing premature and critically ill neonates in a high-acuity setting

🩺 Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and treat neonates with conditions such as:
    • Respiratory distress, sepsis, jaundice, congenital anomalies, birth asphyxia, and prematurity
  • Perform and oversee advanced NICU procedures:
    • Intubation, mechanical ventilation, surfactant therapy, umbilical line placement, etc.
  • Create and manage individualized care plans for premature and high-risk infants
  • Collaborate with neonatal nurses, pediatricians, obstetricians, and allied healthcare teams
  • Monitor progress and conduct parent education and follow-up counseling
  • Participate in quality improvement, research, and neonatal outcomes programs
  • Maintain DHA-compliant electronic medical records and discharge summaries

🎓 Requirements:

  • Medical Degree (MD or equivalent) from an accredited institution
  • Board Certification in Neonatology or Pediatrics with Neonatology Fellowship
    (ABP, RCPCH, FRCPCH, FRCPC, RCPSC, etc.)
  • At least 2 years of experience at Consultant level post-board certification
  • Western-trained (e.g., UK, USA, Canada, Australia, Europe)
  • Eligible for or licensed by the Dubai Health Authority (DHA)
  • Excellent clinical and interpersonal communication skills
