Consultant – Hematologist (Hospital-Based, Dubai)

📋 Full Job Description:

🔍 Position Overview:

• Full-time Consultant position in the Hematology Department
• Provide clinical and diagnostic hematology expertise in a hospital setting
• Work alongside a skilled medical team using innovative technologies

🩺 Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and manage a comprehensive range of hematological conditions such as:
  • Anemia, leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma, thrombocytopenia, blood clotting disorders, hemoglobinopathies
• Oversee bone marrow biopsies, peripheral smears, coagulation studies
• Supervise and interpret hematology lab reports and results
• Collaborate with oncologists, pathologists, transfusion specialists, and pharmacy teams
• Implement and follow evidence-based treatment protocols including:
  • Chemotherapy, immunotherapy, transfusion medicine, and supportive care plans
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and prognosis
• Maintain DHA-compliant documentation and patient records
• Participate in hospital CMEs, hematology-focused trials, and internal audits

🎓 Requirements:

• Medical Degree (MD or equivalent) from an accredited institution
• Board Certification in Hematology (American Board, FRCP, MRCP, RCPSC, etc.)
• Western-trained (required – UK, USA, Canada, Europe, Australia, New Zealand)
• Minimum of 2 years of post-board certification experience as a Consultant
• Eligible for Dubai Health Authority (DHA) license
• Strong communication, technical, and diagnostic skills
