Consultant – Fetal Medicine Specialist (Dubai Hospital)

📋 Full Job Description:

🔍 Position Overview:

• Full-time Consultant position in the Fetal Medicine or Maternal-Fetal Medicine Department
• Involves advanced prenatal diagnostic services, management of high-risk pregnancies, and intrauterine interventions

🩺 Key Responsibilities:

• Perform and interpret:
  • High-resolution fetal ultrasounds
  • Chorionic villus sampling (CVS)
  • Amniocentesis
  • Non-invasive prenatal testing (NIPT)
  • Doppler and 3D/4D imaging
• Diagnose and counsel on fetal abnormalities and chromosomal disorders
• Collaborate with obstetricians, neonatologists, geneticists, and pediatric sub-specialists for coordinated fetal care
• Guide expectant parents through complex medical decisions with sensitivity and clarity
• Lead or participate in fetal therapy/intervention if offered by the institution
• Engage in ongoing clinical research, teaching, and protocol development
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure DHA regulatory compliance

🎓 Requirements:

• Medical Degree (MD or equivalent)
• Subspecialty training/fellowship in Fetal Medicine or Maternal-Fetal Medicine
• Board-certified (e.g., MRCOG with CCT in Maternal-Fetal Medicine, American Board in MFM, FRCS with fetal medicine subspecialty)
• Western-trained (UK, USA, Canada, Europe, Australia, or New Zealand)
• Minimum 2 years post-fellowship/board certification experience in Fetal Medicine
• Eligible for Dubai Health Authority (DHA) licensure
• Excellent imaging skills, communication ability, and patient empathy
