Description
The Martinsburg VA Medical Center is seeking a Board Certified Urologist to join their team in West Virginia's beautiful Eastern Panhandle. You'll provide comprehensive urological care to Veterans, treating diseases of the male and female urinary tract systems, kidneys, adrenal glands, and the male reproductive organs. This role includes both outpatient clinic work and surgical responsibilities. Here's what you'll be doing:
- Providing comprehensive care to ambulatory patients in the outpatient Urology clinic.
- Caring for all inpatients and patients presenting to the Emergency Department with urological needs.
- Performing clinic examinations, managing new patient consultations, and providing diagnosis and treatment.
- Participating in operating room procedures commensurate with your technical abilities.
- Performing preoperative and postoperative evaluations for surgical patients.
- Working within a team approach to ensure appropriate patient assessments, anticipate care needs, and prevent avoidable complications.
- Completing timely documentation of patient assessments and plans of care.
- Participating in committees if requested.
What you'll need to have:
- U.S. Citizenship is required (non-citizens may be appointed when qualified citizens cannot be recruited).
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Current, full, and unrestricted medical license from any U.S. state or territory.
- Completed urology residency training approved by ACGME or AOA leading to board eligibility.
- Board Certification by the American Board of Urology.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English.

Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Salary Range:
$300,000 - $400,000 per year
