Description

The VA New York Harbor Healthcare System is looking for a Staff Radiologist with expertise in General and Musculoskeletal Radiology. You'll work across three medical centers and two community-based outpatient clinics, serving Veterans in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. This position is based onsite in Manhattan and Brooklyn, with major educational affiliations with NYU Grossman School of Medicine and SUNY Health Science Center. Here's what you'll be doing:

  • Interpret general radiology exams including plain film, CT, MRI, and ultrasound studies of the chest, abdomen, pelvis, extremities, and joints
  • Perform and interpret diagnostic fluoroscopic studies with and without contrast material
  • Conduct musculoskeletal procedures such as joint aspirations and bone biopsies
  • Generate detailed radiology reports with pertinent findings, differential diagnoses, and clinical recommendations
  • Communicate critical findings promptly and coordinate patient care with clinical providers
  • Teach students and residents while participating in research programs
  • Rotate between campuses and participate in quality management activities, peer reviews, and inspections

What you'll need to have:

  • U.S. Citizenship (non-citizens may be appointed when qualified citizens cannot be recruited)
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or equivalent degree from an approved medical school
  • Current, full, and unrestricted medical license from any U.S. state or territory
  • Completed residency training approved by ACGME or AOA leading to board certification eligibility
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English

Job Details

Location: New York, NY

Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8am to 4:30pm

Salary Range

$300,000 - $350,000 per year

Base Pay + Market Pay determined through formal pay-setting process
