The North Florida/South Georgia VA Healthcare System is searching for an experienced Primary Care Physician to join their team at a Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) in Jacksonville. Here's what you'll be doing:
- Manage a panel of approximately 1,200 primary care patients using VHA PCMM software.
- Provide comprehensive outpatient care, including diagnosis, treatment, and medication management for a variety of medical conditions.
- Perform well woman exams, including pelvic exams, and diagnose and treat women's health conditions.
- Supervise and teach residents and students from affiliated medical schools, as well as mid-level providers.
- Serve as a supervising or collaborating physician for one or more mid-level providers, providing clinical oversight of their care.
- Act as a surrogate provider for colleagues' patients when they are on leave.
- Participate in special projects pertinent to your assigned section as they arise.
What you'll need to have:
- U.S. Citizenship (non-citizens may be appointed when qualified citizens cannot be recruited) and proficiency in written and spoken English.
- A Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an approved school.
- A current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any U.S. state or territory.
- Completed residency training in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine, approved by the ACGME or AOA.
- Preferred: Two years of current or recent experience in a Primary Care setting.
- Preferred: Board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
Job Details
Location: Jacksonville, Florida
Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with rotating tours of duty as needed.
Annual Salary Range
$221,000 - $300,000
