Description
The Montana VA Health Care System is seeking a Radiologist to serve as Chief of Diagnostic Imaging at Fort Harrison. This is a leadership role where you'll split your time between administrative oversight (40%) and direct clinical care (60%). You'll manage the Diagnostic Imaging section, lead a team of radiologists, and ensure VA standards are met while also performing imaging interpretations as part of an interprofessional team. Here's what you'll be doing:
- Provide leadership, management, and oversight of all Diagnostic Imaging providers and programs
- Develop and maintain written policies and procedures defining operational requirements for the section
- Monitor performance metrics, conduct OPPEs and FPPEs for staff radiologists, and ensure compliance with regulatory and accrediting body requirements
- Collaborate with leadership to prioritize, implement, and manage Diagnostic Imaging operations, including clinic scheduling decisions
- Perform imaging interpretations and dictations, order diagnostic studies, and respond to consultation requests
- Respond to patient inquiries and work to achieve the most favorable patient and organizational outcomes
- Participate in regularly scheduled management meetings and provide orientation for new radiologists
What you'll need to have:
- U.S. Citizenship (non-citizens may be appointed when qualified citizens cannot be recruited)
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or equivalent degree from an approved medical school
- Current, full, and unrestricted medical license from any U.S. state or territory
- Completed radiology residency training approved by ACGME or AOA with board certification eligibility
- Proficiency in written and spoken English
- Preferred: American Board of Radiology certified or eligible with at least five years of outpatient radiology practice and administrative experience

Location: Fort Harrison, MT
Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm
Travel: 25% or less

Salary Range
$350,000 - $400,000 per year
Base Pay + Market Pay determined through formal pay-setting process
