Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs is looking for a dedicated Staff Psychologist to join the Mental Health & Behavioral Medicine Service in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. In this role, you will provide high-quality mental healthcare to Veterans, utilizing evidence-based therapies to treat a variety of conditions. Here's what you'll be doing:

  • Deliver a wide range of Evidence-Based Psychotherapies, including Cognitive Processing Therapy, Prolonged Exposure, and CBT for depression or chronic pain.
  • Conduct psychological and neuropsychological assessments, screenings, and psycho-diagnostic evaluations for Veterans.
  • Provide clinical care through various modalities, including individual, family, and group therapy, as well as via telehealth video.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, including treatment plans, risk assessments, and patient contact notes.
  • Educate patients, families, and significant others regarding mental health disorders and best practices for recovery.

What you'll need to have:

  • United States Citizenship.
  • A doctoral degree in psychology from a graduate program accredited by the APA, CPA, or PCSAS.
  • A current, full, and unrestricted license to practice psychology at the doctoral level.
  • Completion of a professional psychology internship training program accredited by the APA or CPA.
  • One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level.

Job Details

Location:Williamsport, PA

Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm

Salary: $115,376 per year
