Description

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Social Worker to join our interdisciplinary team at the Sheridan VA Health Care System. In this role, you will support Veterans within the Eagle Living Center (ELC) and Mountain View Living Center (MVLC). You will provide a blend of high-quality case management, clinical treatment, and advocacy to help Veterans achieve their best possible quality of life. Here's what you'll be doing:

  • Conduct psychosocial assessments and psychiatric diagnoses for Veterans with diverse backgrounds and needs.
  • Manage a caseload of Community Living Center residents, handling everything from treatment planning to seamless discharge coordination.
  • Provide individual, group, and family counseling to address emotional, medical, and social challenges.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop recovery-oriented treatment plans that focus on the patient's strengths.
  • Assess suicide risk, create safety plans, and coordinate with the Suicide Prevention Office when necessary.

What you'll need to have:

  • United States Citizenship.
  • A Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from a CSWE-accredited institution.
  • Current, full, and unrestricted state licensure or certification (or eligibility to obtain it for GS-9 level).
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • For GS-11 level: At least one year of post-MSW experience or a doctoral degree in social work.

Job Details

Location:Sheridan, Wyoming

Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4:00pm

Salary Range$76,219 - $119,878 per year
