Psychologist (Palliative/CLC/SCI) - Syracuse NY - Up to $137K + $200K Loans

Description

This is a dream clinical psychologist position: 50% embedded in Palliative Care/Hospice, 25% in the Community Living Center (geropsych), and 25% in Spinal Cord Injury/Rehab. You'll do meaningful work with veterans and families at end-of-life, help older adults age with dignity, and support life-changing rehab journeys — all with no productivity pressure, full federal benefits, and true work-life balance in beautiful upstate New York.

Here's what you'll be doing:

• Provide individual, family, and group therapy in palliative care, hospice, CLC, and SCI settings
• Conduct capacity evaluations, brief cognitive screening, and behavioral pain management
• Deliver evidence-based interventions (CBT-CP, ACT, MI, MBSR, dignity therapy, meaning-centered therapy)
• Lead interdisciplinary rounds and serve as the behavioral health expert on these services
• Supervise psychology trainees and participate in the APA-accredited internship program

What you'll need to have:

• Doctoral degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from APA/CPA-accredited program
• Completed APA/CPA-accredited internship
• Licensed or license-eligible in any state (full licensure required before entry)
• Strong interest or experience in health psychology, geropsych, palliative care, or rehab psychology
• U.S. citizenship
