The Alexandria VA Medical Center is seeking Primary Care Physicians to serve Veterans at our Fort Polk and Lafayette locations in Louisiana. You'll provide comprehensive outpatient care to 12-20 patients daily in a supportive team environment. This position offers competitive compensation between $230,000 and $260,000, plus eligibility for up to $200,000 in student loan repayment through the Education Debt Reduction Program. Here's what you'll be doing:

• Providing comprehensive outpatient care to approximately 12-20 Veterans daily, including diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management
• Managing all facets of acute patient care and responding to consultations from other services when requested
• Documenting patient care electronically and maintaining accurate medical records
• Participating in quality management reviews and the peer review process
• Working toward achievement of applicable performance measures and monitoring your areas of responsibility

What you'll need to have:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an approved school
• Completed residency training in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine approved by ACGME or AOA
• Current, full, and unrestricted medical license from any U.S. state or territory
• Board certification or eligibility for certification by the American Board of Internal Medicine or appropriate specialty board preferred
• Proficiency in spoken and written English and computer literacy
• U.S. citizenship (non-citizens may be appointed when qualified citizens cannot be recruited)
