Description
The North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Health System is looking for a Primary Care Physician to join the team at the Lake City VA Medical Center. You'll provide comprehensive primary care services to Veterans, including physical exams, diagnostic testing, and both in-person and telehealth visits. You may qualify for up to $200,000 in student loan repayment through the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), and the position offers a competitive salary up to $315,000.
Here's what you'll be doing:
- Perform comprehensive physical exams and provide ongoing primary care to Veterans
- Order and interpret laboratory, radiological, and diagnostic tests
- Complete vesting appointments for new patients when access levels require it
- Utilize telehealth video conferencing and telephone visits to expand patient access
- Document patient encounters using electronic medical records in accordance with policy
- Practice in accordance with professional standards of care and VA core values
- Participate in staff meetings, educational activities, and administrative duties as assigned
What you'll need to have:
- U.S. Citizenship (non-citizens may be appointed when qualified citizens cannot be recruited)
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or equivalent degree from an approved school
- Current, full, and unrestricted medical license from any U.S. state or territory
- Completed ACGME or AOA-accredited residency in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Practice preferred
- Proficiency in written and spoken English

Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm
Travel: Not required
Salary
$200,000 - $315,000 per year
Base Pay + Market Pay determined through formal pay-setting process
