Description

We're looking for a dedicated Primary Care Physician to join our team at the Department of Veterans Affairs in Lexington, KY. In this rewarding role, you'll provide comprehensive clinical services to our nation's Veterans and their families. You'll be a key member of a supportive, multi-disciplinary team, making a real difference by delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. Here's what you'll be doing:

  • Provide comprehensive patient assessments, including health histories, physical exams, diagnostic work-ups, and patient education.
  • Function as an integral part of a primary care team to coordinate and facilitate outstanding patient care and services.
  • Manage acute and chronic conditions for your panel of patients, initiating appropriate referrals and consultations as needed.
  • Order and evaluate diagnostic tests, manage medications, and validate the effectiveness of treatments.
  • Document all clinical assessments, treatment plans, and outcomes in our electronic patient record system (CPRS) on the day of the encounter.

What you'll need to have:

  • A Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an approved school.
  • A current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any U.S. State or Territory.
  • Successful completion of an accredited residency training program in a core specialty.
  • U.S. Citizenship (non-citizens may be considered if qualified citizens are not available).
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English.

Job Details

Location:Somerset, KY

Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm

Annual Salary:
$200,000 to $243,000 per year
