Looking for a primary care role where you can truly make an impact? The VA Puget Sound Health Care System is hiring Nurse Practitioners to join their Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) in Seattle and Tacoma. You'll manage your own patient panel, provide comprehensive outpatient care, and work within a team-based model that puts veterans first. This position offers up to $200,000 in student loan repayment through the Education Debt Reduction Program, plus 50 days of paid time off and outstanding federal benefits. Here's what you'll be doing:
- Providing comprehensive primary care to an assigned panel of patients using the Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) model
- Prescribing medications and entering consults to specialty clinics through electronic medical records systems
- Completing clinical reminders for chronic disease management and prevention on schedule
- Interfacing with non-VA providers, including DoD and community partners, to ensure smooth care transitions
- Contributing to performance measure targets for access, quality, efficiency, and patient satisfaction
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic studies while managing acute and chronic conditions
- Providing and coordinating clinical Employee Health services in conjunction with Human Resources
- Completing progress notes, secure messages, and view alerts according to VHA timeliness standards
What you'll need to have:
- U.S. Citizenship (non-citizens may be appointed when qualified citizens cannot be recruited)
- Post-master's certificate or master's/doctoral degree as a Nurse Practitioner from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
- Active, current, full, and unrestricted APN license to practice as an NP in any U.S. state or territory
- Current board certification as FNP, ANP, AGPCNP, or GNP from ANCC, AANPCB, or other nationally recognized certifying body
- Proficiency in basic written and spoken English
- Ability to meet physical requirements including heavy lifting (45+ lbs), walking, standing, and repeated bending
- Visual acuity of 20/30 corrected

Locations: Seattle, WA and Tacoma, WA (1 vacancy each)
Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 6:00pm (variable tours); Compressed/Flexible scheduling authorized
Travel: Not required
Salary Range
$103,386 - $178,585 per year
Education and length of practice considered in determining final salary
