The Mental Health Service at the Orlando VA Healthcare System is looking for a dynamic and experienced Psychiatrist to join our growing team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a VA academic hospital program while providing high-quality care to our nation's veterans. You will primarily work in an outpatient setting, managing a diverse range of mental health needs through both face-to-face interactions and telemental health services. Here's what you'll be doing:

• Conduct initial psychiatric evaluations, follow-up visits, and provide medication management.
• Treat a full spectrum of diagnoses using face-to-face interventions and telemental health (TMH).
• Design and implement diagnostic and therapeutic plans to meet the specific mental and medical needs of veterans.
• Serve as the medical subject matter expert for your assigned team and coordinate care with other health service personnel.
• Educate veterans and their families regarding their care, condition, and management strategies.

What you'll need to have:

• A Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
• Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any US State or territory.
• Completion of an accredited residency training program in Psychiatry.
• Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Psychiatry.
• US Citizenship (non-citizens may be considered if qualified citizens are not available).
