Description
We are looking for a compassionate Psychiatrist to join the VA Finger Lakes Healthcare System in Rochester. If you are looking for a clinical position where you can work alongside a multidisciplinary team to support America's Veterans, this is the opportunity for you. In this role, you will care for a diverse outpatient population and help patients navigate challenges such as PTSD, anxiety, depression, and substance abuse.
You will have the chance to serve as a subject matter expert within the Behavioral Health team while enjoying the autonomy to manage treatment plans effectively. Here's what you'll be doing:
- Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for Veterans utilizing a patient-centered team approach.
- Provide a full range of evidence-based therapeutic interventions including medication management and psychotherapy.
- Work across various settings such as outpatient clinics, telehealth, and residential programs.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate consults and triage specialty clinic referrals.
- Participate in teaching and supervision to support the VA mission and future medical professionals.
What you'll need to have:
- A Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any US State or territory.
- Completion of an accredited residency training program in Psychiatry.
- Board Eligibility or Board Certification in Psychiatry is preferred.
- US Citizenship (non-citizens may be considered if qualified citizens are not available).

Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday
Salary: $265,000 - $300,000 per year
