We are looking for a skilled Infectious Disease Physician to join the Veterans Health Administration in White River Junction, Vermont. In this role, you will serve as a subject matter expert, handling consults and treating a wide range of complex conditions for our nation's veterans. You will manage cases ranging from HIV/AIDS to Lyme disease while mentoring staff and shaping patient outcomes in a collaborative environment. Here's what you'll be doing:
- Diagnose and treat complex infectious diseases including HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis, Lyme disease, and Hepatitis B and C.
- Provide expert consultation for inpatient needs and manage ongoing care in outpatient clinical settings.
- Supervise and mentor advanced practice nurses and physician assistants to ensure high-quality care delivery.
- Collaborate with other specialties and health team members to facilitate positive patient outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement activities, peer reviews, and mandatory medical education to maintain the highest standards of care.
What you'll need to have:
- A Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any US State or territory.
- Completion of an accredited residency training program.
- Board Certification in Infectious Disease is highly preferred.
- US Citizenship (non-citizens may be considered if qualified citizens are not available).
