Part-Time Anesthesiologist – Miami VA | Up to $400K + Loan Repayment

The Miami VA Healthcare System is looking for an experienced Anesthesiologist to join our team on a part-time or intermittent basis. This is a great opportunity for a physician who wants flexibility while still contributing to a VA academic hospital program. You'll provide comprehensive anesthesia care, manage acute and chronic pain, and supervise medical students and residents. This position is eligible for up to $200,000 in student loan repayment through the EDRP program.

Here's what you'll be doing:

• Performing pre and post-op consultations, general anesthesia, regional anesthesia, and neuraxial anesthesia care
• Managing acute pain including caudal, brachial epidural, and intrathecal injections
• Placing arterial lines, central venous cannulation, and pulmonary artery catheterization
• Performing advanced airway management including endotracheal intubation, emergency cricothyrotomy, retrograde intubation, and fiberoptic laryngoscopy/bronchoscopy
• Providing chronic pain management including local infiltration nerve blocks, diagnostic/therapeutic nerve blocks, and neurolytic nerve blocks
• Administering moderate sedation and providing consultative services
• Supervising medical students and physician residents (including fellows)

What you'll need to have:

• U.S. Citizenship (non-citizens may be appointed when qualified citizens cannot be recruited)
• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or equivalent degree from an approved school
• Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any U.S. state or territory
• Completed residency training approved by ACGME or AOA, leading to board eligibility
• Board Certification in Anesthesiology
• Proficiency in written and spoken English
