Description

The Oklahoma City VA Medical Center is looking for a full-time Interventional Radiologist to join their Department of Radiology. You'll perform the full range of vascular and interventional radiology procedures, from diagnostic angiography and stenting to ablations and image-guided biopsies. The department is well-equipped and offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with Vascular Surgery in a fast-growing vascular/endovascular program. Teaching medical students and residents is also part of the role. Here's what you'll be doing:

  • Performing diagnostic angiography, angioplasty, stenting, thrombolysis, and embolization procedures
  • Conducting radiofrequency and other forms of ablation treatments
  • Performing image-guided biopsies, drainages, and biliary/urinary procedures
  • Collaborating with Vascular Surgery on the vascular/endovascular surgical program
  • Providing patient care to both inpatients and outpatients in the hospital setting
  • Teaching medical students and residents as an integral part of the position
  • Maintaining high visibility and accessibility to patients and referring physicians
  • Participating in on-call rotation as required

What you'll need to have:

  • U.S. Citizenship (non-citizens may be appointed when qualified citizens cannot be recruited)
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or equivalent degree from an approved school
  • Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any U.S. State or territory
  • Board certified or board eligible by the American Board of Radiology
  • Minimum one-year ACGME accredited fellowship training in Vascular and Interventional Radiology
  • BLS/ACLS certification (must have or obtain)
  • Expertise in radiation safety, radiation physics, biological effects of radiation, and injury prevention
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English
  • Comfort with fully integrated PACS and voice recognition systems

Job Details

Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (On-call rotation required)

Relocation: Relocation expense reimbursement available

Salary Range

$230,000 - $400,000 per year

Final salary determined by education and length of practice
