Inpatient Psychiatrist - Palo Alto CA - $329K–$350K + $200K Loans

Description

Join one of the premier VA inpatient psychiatry programs in the country at Palo Alto VA – Stanford's primary teaching hospital. You'll lead a multidisciplinary team on a 30-bed acute unit, supervise Stanford residents and medical students, manage complex PTSD, psychosis, mood disorders, and substance use, all while enjoying Silicon Valley living and the highest VA psychiatrist compensation on the West Coast.

Here's what you'll be doing:

• Serve as attending on the acute inpatient psychiatry unit with daily teaching rounds
• Provide psychiatric consultation to the ED and medical floors
• Supervise Stanford psychiatry residents and medical students
• Lead treatment planning for veterans with severe mental illness, PTSD, TBI, and addiction
• Participate in call rotation (paid extra, from home, very light)

What you'll need to have:

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Completed ACGME-accredited psychiatry residency
• Board certified or board eligible in psychiatry
• Full, unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state
• Passion for teaching and working with veterans
