Description

The Muskogee Oklahoma VA is currently recruiting for a skilled Gastroenterologist to work at the Ernest Childers Department of Veterans Affairs Outpatient Clinic in Tulsa. Here's what you'll be doing:

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with acute complaints and diseases of the esophagus, stomach, small intestine, colon, liver, and other GI organs.
  • Perform essential endoscopic procedures such as colonoscopies, esophagogastroduodenoscopies (EGD), and sigmoidoscopies with biopsy.
  • Conduct specialized treatments including band ligation of esophageal varices, esophageal dilation, and sclerotherapy.
  • Manage GI bleeds using injection or cautery and perform foreign body extractions.
  • Perform paracentesis and percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG) tube placements.

What you'll need to have:

  • United States Citizenship (Non-citizens may be appointed if qualified citizens are not available).
  • Current, full, and unrestricted medical license from any US State or territory.
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of an accredited residency and core specialty training program.
  • Board Eligibility or Certification in Gastroenterology.

Job Details

Location:Tulsa, Oklahoma

Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Salary Range$345,000 - $400,000 per year
