Description
We're looking for a skilled and dedicated Emergency Physician to join our 24/7 Emergency Department at the Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center. This is a unique opportunity to provide critical care to our nation's Veterans while enjoying an incredible work-life balance and a suite of benefits that are hard to match. Here's what you'll be doing:
- Provide immediate evaluation, treatment, and management for Veterans with acute medical conditions in the Emergency Department.
- Perform patient assessments, physical exams, and order appropriate diagnostic tests and studies.
- Handle emergent procedures such as resuscitation and airway management.
- Coordinate patient admissions to the hospital or arrange for safe discharge with necessary follow-up care.
- Provide clinical oversight to nursing and mid-level staff, and participate in quality assurance reviews.
What you'll need to have:
- A Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Completion of an accredited residency program, preferably in Emergency Medicine.
- A current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any U.S. state.
- Board certification or board eligibility in your specialty.
- U.S. Citizenship and proficiency in spoken and written English.

Location: Clarksburg, WV, USA
Schedule: Full-time with rotating 8 and 12-hour shifts for 24/7 coverage
Salary: $310,000 - $325,000 per year
