This isn't your average opportunity. We're seeking a skilled Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon to join a one-of-a-kind facility: the Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center. We are the nation's first fully integrated health center, combining the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and the U.S. Navy under a single command. 

In this role, you'll provide critical, high-level surgical care to both our nation's Veterans and active-duty military personnel. It's a chance to practice at the top of your field in a truly mission-driven environment.

Here's what you'll be doing:

• Provide comprehensive oral and maxillofacial surgical care, from initial consultation and treatment planning to hospital admission.
• Perform a full scope of dentoalveolar surgery, including extractions, impactions, implants, and advanced grafting procedures.
• Manage complex cases such as cervicofacial infections, traumatic facial injuries, and the oral manifestations of systemic diseases.
• Excise benign and malignant tumors and cysts of the hard and soft tissues.
• Administer moderate and deep sedation to ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures.

What you'll need to have:

• A degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Dental Medicine (DMD) from an accredited school.
• Completion of an accredited residency program in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
• A current, full, and unrestricted license to practice dentistry in any U.S. State.
• U.S. Citizenship (non-citizens may be considered if no qualified citizens are available).
• Board certification with the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (ABOMS) is highly preferred.
