🫀 Duties and Responsibilities – Consultant Cardiologist

🩺 1. Patient Evaluation

Review medical histories and conduct physical exams to assess heart health.

❤️ 2. Diagnosis & Treatment

Identify and manage heart and blood vessel conditions.

📊 3. Cardiac Testing

Perform and interpret echocardiograms (ECHO) and other heart diagnostics.

📋 4. Result Interpretation

Analyze test results and decide on the most effective treatment plan.

🧪 5. Diagnostic Procedures

Conduct cardiac catheterization and other diagnostic evaluations.

🛠️ 6. Interventional Cardiology

Perform advanced procedures like:

• Coronary angioplasty
• Coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG)

💊 7. Medication Management

Prescribe and monitor medications for heart conditions.

🔁 8. Long-Term Follow-Up

Support patients with chronic cardiovascular issues through regular follow-ups.

🤝 9. Team Collaboration

Work with multidisciplinary teams for integrated patient care.

🧠 10. Consultation Support

Provide expert advice and second opinions to other specialists.

✅ Requirements and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Medicine from an accredited university.
• Specialization certificate in Cardiology (board-certified or equivalent).
• Completed clinical residency/fellowship in cardiology.
• Valid UAE medical license or eligibility.
• Good physical stamina (ability to walk/stand for extended periods).
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Extremely detail-oriented with excellent patient care ethics.
