Are you a senior nurse with a passion for cardiothoracic care? We're looking for a Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our dedicated team on a part-time basis for a parental leave contract. You'll take on a key leadership role in our 32-bed Cardiothoracic Unit, working closely with the Nurse Unit Manager to ensure best-practice care delivery. This is an ideal opportunity to expand your leadership skills, mentor a supportive team, and make a significant impact in a collaborative environment.

Here's what you'll be doing:

• Provide expert clinical guidance and problem-solving within our Cardiothoracic Unit.
• Lead, mentor, and support a dedicated team of nurses and clinical support staff.
• Assist in planning and implementing policies, procedures, and quality initiatives.
• Promote a strong culture of safety, risk management, and infection control compliance.
• Work closely with the Nurse Unit Manager to optimise resources and deliver exceptional patient care.

What you'll need to have:

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in a relevant specialty, such as cardiothoracics.
• High-level clinical competence and problem-solving ability.
• Experience in mentoring, training, and developing staff.
• A strong knowledge of quality and infection control processes.
