The Fayetteville NC VA Medical Center is currently looking for a dedicated Cardiologist to join our Medicine Service. This is an opportunity to provide hands-on clinical care while also taking on a leadership role in oversight and administration. We manage an extensive research program and provide guidance to medical residents and trainees, making this an ideal spot for a physician who enjoys a mix of clinical practice and academic mentorship.

You will be working with a patient population that presents a wide range of medical challenges, ensuring you stay at the top of your field. Here's what you'll be doing:

• Provide comprehensive clinical care, including diagnosing and treating seriously ill patients and rounding on the ICU, acute medical wards, and emergency room.
• Supervise and mentor medical students, residents, fellows, and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).
• Oversee daily administrative and clinical operations for the Cardiology Service as assigned by the Section Chief.
• Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) teams and help develop professional goals for the department.
• Cover on-call duties for inpatient and emergency needs (must be able to be on station within one hour when on call).

What you'll need to have:

• United States Citizenship (Non-citizens may be appointed if no qualified citizens are available).
• Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any U.S. State or territory.
• Board Certification in Internal Medicine (ABIM) with a focus in cardiovascular disease, advanced heart failure, or related sub-specialties.
• Current ACLS and BLS certification.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
