Anesthesiologist – Mountain Home VA | Up to $400K + $200K Loan Repayment

The James H. Quillen VA Medical Center in Mountain Home, Tennessee is seeking an experienced Anesthesiologist to join our team. You'll be responsible for perioperative management of surgical patients, airway management throughout the facility, and acute pain management. This role offers a chance to work with a dedicated team, supervise CRNAs and residents, and make a real difference in the lives of Veterans. A sign-on bonus may be available for highly qualified candidates, plus up to $200,000 in student loan repayment through the EDRP program.

Here's what you'll be doing:

• Administering general anesthesia (inhalation and intravenous), including invasive monitoring
• Performing regional anesthesia including spinal, epidural, and peripheral nerve blocks
• Placing and interpreting arterial catheters and pulmonary artery catheters
• Managing ventilator-dependent patients and one-lung ventilation
• Supervising CRNA staff, physician residents, and medical students in comprehensive patient care
• Assessing, consulting, and preparing patients for anesthesia; monitoring and restoring homeostasis in perioperative and critically ill patients
• Diagnosing and treating painful syndromes

What you'll need to have:

• U.S. Citizenship (non-citizens may be appointed when qualified citizens cannot be recruited)
• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or equivalent degree from an approved school
• Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any U.S. state or territory
• Completed residency training approved by ACGME or AOA, leading to board eligibility
• Board Certification in Anesthesiology
• Proficiency in written and spoken English
