Radiation Oncologist

📍 Work Setting

• Join a 22-member Radiation Oncology team supported by GPOs and NPs.
• State-of-the-art facility with:
  • 6 Varian Truebeam linear accelerators
  • PET/CT, 2 simulation CTs, superficial therapy unit
  • Prostate & gynecologic brachytherapy
  • Stereotactic programs across multiple anatomic sites
• Facility treats approximately 3,000 patients annually

📍 Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, patient-centered radiation oncology care
• Participate in teaching UBC medical students and residents
• Contribute to academic research and clinical trials, depending on interest and experience
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, partner hospitals (Island Health), and royalty-accredited cancer specialists
• Support continuous improvement of clinical protocols and therapeutic services

📍 Qualifications

• MD or equivalent
• Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCPC) in Radiation Oncology
• Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC)
• Eligible for a clinical faculty appointment at the University of British Columbia (UBC)
• Preference for applicants with a minimum of 1–2 years of post-fellowship experience
