Consultant – Pediatric Rheumatologist - Dubai, UAE

🔍 Position Overview:

• Full-time Consultant role in the Pediatric Rheumatology Department, focused on complex autoimmune and inflammatory conditions in children.

🩺 Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and manage pediatric rheumatic conditions such as:
  • Juvenile idiopathic arthritis
  • Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE)
  • Vasculitis and other autoimmune disorders
• Interpret and request diagnostic tests:
  • Blood and antibody tests
  • Joint imaging (MRI, Ultrasound)
  • Biopsies (when needed)
• Create patient-specific treatment plans:
  • Biologic therapies
  • Immune modulators
  • Pain management regimens
• Collaborate with multi-specialty teams including pediatricians, nephrologists, orthopedic surgeons, physiotherapists, and immunologists.
• Counsel families regarding disease progression, prognosis, therapy options, and lifestyle implications.
• Maintain thorough and compliant electronic medical records (EMR).
• Contribute to clinical research, quality audits, and CME.

🎓 Requirements:

• Medical Degree (MD or equivalent) with specialization in Pediatric Rheumatology.
• Board Certification in Pediatric Rheumatology (American, Canadian, UK, or equivalent highly preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of experience as Consultant in Pediatric Rheumatology.
• Deep understanding of pediatric autoimmune pathophysiology.
• Western training/education (e.g. USA, UK, Canada, Europe, Australia).
• Valid or eligible for DHA license to practice in Dubai.
• Excellent skills in diagnostics, communication, and building family trust.
