📋 Full Job Description:

🔍 Position Overview:

  • Full-time consultant position in the Neonatology Department, focused on NICU-based care.

🩺 Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and treat neonates with critical medical conditions, including premature birth complications, sepsis, respiratory distress, congenital issues, etc.
  • Manage life-saving NICU interventions such as:
    • Mechanical ventilation
    • Umbilical line placement
    • Surfactant therapy
  • Create tailored treatment plans focused on stabilization, growth, long-term prognosis.
  • Coordinate with pediatricians, NICU nurses, therapists, and specialists for ongoing neonatal care.
  • Educate and support families, ensuring they understand treatment paths and feel emotionally supported.
  • Contribute to hospital-wide safety and quality improvement measures.
  • Stay updated with emerging trends and research within neonatology and apply evidence-based practices.
  • Participate in academic and research initiatives involving neonatal outcomes and NICU systems.

🎓 Requirements:

  • Medical Degree (MD or equivalent) with recognized specialization in Neonatology.
  • Board Certification in Neonatology (e.g., American Board, Royal College, or equivalent) highly preferred.
  • At least 6 years of clinical experience, with substantial NICU exposure.
  • Must be Western-trained (US, UK, Canada, EU, Australia).
  • Strong communicator with compassionate approach to patients and families.
  • Must be eligible for DHA (Dubai Health Authority) licensure.
