📋 Full Job Description:

🔍 Position Overview:

  • Full-time, Consultant role in the Department of Pediatric Hematology & Oncology
  • Focused on treating children with cancer and complex hematologic conditions

🩺 Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and manage:
    • Leukemia, lymphoma, solid tumors, sickle cell disease, hemophilia, and platelet disorders
  • Develop and supervise patient-specific treatment plans including:
    • Chemotherapy regimens
    • Stem cell transplant preparation/follow-up
    • Targeted therapies and immunotherapy
  • Work within multidisciplinary teams, collaborating with:
    • Pediatric oncologists, hematologists, surgeons, radiologists, pathologists, and palliative care
  • Guide and educate patients’ families regarding:
    • Disease progression
    • Therapy benefits and potential side effects
    • Prognosis and care planning
  • Contribute to clinical research, clinical trial enrollment, and academic publications
  • Maintain detailed medical records and ensure adherence to Saudi medical regulations and international protocols (e.g. SIOP, ASH, COG)

🎓 Requirements:

  • Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from an accredited medical school
  • Board-certified in Pediatric Hematology & Oncology (American, Canadian, UK CCT, or equivalent)
  • Minimum 5 years of Consultant experience in pediatric oncology/hematology
  • Expertise in chemotherapy, pediatric cancer supportive care, and blood disorders
  • Strong family-centered communication skills
  • Eligibility for Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) licensing
