📋 Full Job Description:

Position Overview:

• Full-time consultant position in a top-tier hospital’s neurosurgery department.
• Role focuses on performing complex cranial and brain surgeries with access to advanced medical technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and manage neurological conditions relating to the brain and skull.
• Perform high-risk cranial surgeries such as tumor resections, aneurysm clipping, and trauma repairs.
• Use minimally invasive and endoscopic techniques when appropriate.
• Oversee pre-operative and post-operative care to ensure best clinical results.
• Mentor and train residents and junior physicians in neurosurgical techniques.
• Collaborate with other specialties such as neurology, oncology, and radiology for multidisciplinary planning.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation and adhere to regulatory compliance.
• Contribute to clinical research, neurosurgical advancements, and innovation.
• Apply advanced imaging and navigation systems during surgical interventions.

Requirements:

• Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
• Board certification in Neurosurgery is required.
• Fellowship training in cranial/brain surgery preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in neurosurgery with significant cranial focus.
• Expertise in awake brain surgery and skull base procedures.
• Familiarity with advanced surgical tech (e.g. neuronavigation, intra-op MRI).
• Experience in pediatric neurosurgery considered an advantage.
• Strong communication, decision-making, and patient-centric skills.
• Western training or equivalent healthcare experience mandatory.
• Eligibility for DHA/DOH/MOH license in the UAE.
