📋 Full Job Description:

Position Overview:

• Full-time Consultant role in the Geriatrics department at a reputable Dubai-based healthcare facility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses common in elderly patients.
• Deliver patient-centered care tailored to the physical, mental, and social needs of elderly individuals.
• Create and monitor individualized geriatric care plans.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams including nurses, physiotherapists, and social workers.
• Offer preventative care guidance and medication management to the elderly.
• Assist families with care planning, health education, and emotional support.
• Remain informed of the latest trends and advancements in geriatrics.
• Ensure ethical standards and regulatory compliance within UAE healthcare guidelines.

Requirements:

• Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
• Must have American Board Certification in Geriatrics.
• Western training and experience in a top-tier healthcare system are required.
• At least 3–5 years of experience as a consultant in geriatrics.
• Deep understanding of geriatric syndromes, frailty, dementia, and polypharmacy.
• Strong communication skills; compassionate, elderly-centered care approach.
• Eligible for DHA/DOH/MOH licensure in the UAE.
