Consultant – Gastroenterologist - Dubai - UAE

📋 Full Job Description:

🔍 Position Overview:

• This is a full-time Consultant-level role in the Gastroenterology Department.
• Opportunity to work with international experts in a modern, patient-centered facility.

🩺 Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and treat complex GI disorders—IBD, liver disease, GERD, and pancreatic conditions.
• Perform advanced procedures including:
  • Gastroscopy
  • Colonoscopy
  • Capsule endoscopy
• Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating medical, procedural, and lifestyle-based interventions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams: surgeons, oncologists, endocrinologists, radiologists, and dietitians.
• Instruct and counsel patients and caregivers on condition management and long-term planning.
• Stay up-to-date with continuing medical education and implement best practice protocols.
• Mentor junior physicians and lead clinical research initiatives.
• Adhere to Dubai Health Authority (DHA) regulations and ensure clinical governance and safety.

🎓 Requirements:

• MD or equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Board Certification in Gastroenterology (American, MRCP, or equivalent preferred).
• Western education or training (USA, UK, Canada, etc.) is mandatory.
• Minimum of 3–5 years post-board certification experience.
• Highly proficient in both endoscopic diagnostics and interventional gastroenterology.
• Excellent bedside manner; team-oriented care philosophy.
• Must be eligible for DHA licensing to practice in the UAE.
