Wound Care Nurse – Permanent Role - Riyadh, Saudia Arabia

Purpose / Objective

• Provide comprehensive and evidence-based wound care.
• Assess, observe, evaluate, and ensure safe patient care.
• Educate patients, families, and clinical staff on wound management and prevention.
• Act as a resource for physicians and the clinical wound care team.
• Contribute to performance improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities

• Assess nursing staff learning needs; coordinate training on ulcer prevention and care.
• Provide wound care for all age groups.
• Apply age-appropriate care strategies.
• Expert in wound staging and documentation.
• Develop and update wound care standards and protocols.
• Deliver staff training in wound care.
• Collaborate with head nurses to improve wound interventions.
• Lead quarterly pressure ulcer surveys and incident reviews.
• Engage interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive care.
• Adjust care based on treatment response.
• Monitor compliance with wound care policy.
• Evaluate and recommend new products for wound care.
• Conduct professional workshops and in-service training.
• Provide patient and family education.
• Train new nurses in wound care protocols.
• Report unsafe practices through proper channels.
• Offer feedback to enhance team competency.
• Prepare personalized education plans for staff.
• Implement new policies and educational materials.
• Uphold confidentiality and ethical standards.
• Develop and distribute educational materials.
• Participate in HMG's patient-centered care initiatives.
• Treat patients with respect, compassion, and dignity.
• Execute other related tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Education Level: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Nursing or Health Education
• Experience: Minimum 5 years in wound care specialty
• License/Certificate: Valid Saudi Council Registration
