Surgical Telemetry Nurse (RN) - Eden Medical Center, Castro Valley

Eden Medical Center is looking for an experienced Staff Nurse II to join our Surgical/Telemetry unit. You will be accountable for the assessment, coordination, and delivery of holistic nursing care to a diverse patient population, including those requiring cardiac monitoring. This role requires providing direct patient care, patient/family education, and fostering collaborative relationships to ensure an optimal patient experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive, direct patient care in a fast-paced medical-surgical and telemetry environment.
• Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized plans of care that incorporate psychological, spiritual, and life-style factors.
• Perform continuous cardiac monitoring, interpret telemetry strips, and respond to arrhythmias appropriately.
• Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, and other healthcare providers to ensure seamless transitions of care.
• Provide patient and family education regarding conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care.
• Adhere to all hospital policies, industry standards, and best practices for patient safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (BSN preferred).
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license for the state of California.
• Minimum of two (2) years of current experience in a medical-surgical telemetry or specialty unit.
• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated knowledge of nursing theories, best practices, and patient safety policies.
