Sutter Tracy Community Hospital is seeking a highly experienced Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) to join our perioperative team, with a potential sign-on bonus available. In this advanced role, you will function as a key member of the surgical team, using your specialized skills to directly assist the surgeon under their supervision. You will be responsible for the assessment, coordination, and delivery of holistic patient care throughout the surgical process.

Key Responsibilities

• Function as a first assistant to the surgeon, providing hands-on support during surgical procedures.
• Develop, implement, and coordinate an optimal interdisciplinary plan of care for surgical patients.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and evaluations within the perioperative setting.
• Foster collaborative relationships between patients, families, physicians, and the entire healthcare team.
• Adhere strictly to all hospital policies, industry standards, and best practices to ensure a quality patient experience.
• Engage in continuous professional growth and development in advanced nursing practice.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Minimum of 5 years of recent, relevant experience in a perioperative setting.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license for the state of California.
• Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) certification is required.
• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Formal RNFA program completion is highly desirable.
