California Pacific Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Staff Nurse II for our Medical/Surgical Intensive Care Unit (MSICU). You will be responsible for the assessment, coordination, and delivery of high-acuity nursing care to critically ill patients. This role demands strong clinical judgment, the ability to provide holistic care, and effective collaboration with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver direct, high-acuity nursing care to critically ill patients in the MSICU.
• Perform continuous critical care assessments, and develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Manage advanced monitoring and life-support equipment.
• Collaborate with intensivists, specialists, and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Provide patient and family education and support in high-stress situations.
• Adhere to all hospital policies, industry standards, and best practices for critical care.
• Utilize critical thinking skills to identify and solve complex patient care problems.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred).
• Minimum of 2 years of recent, relevant nursing experience. ICU/acute care hospital experience is highly preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license for the state of California.
• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a demanding and fast-paced critical care environment.
