🏥 Position Summary

  • Provide professional and safe NICU nursing care based on international standards (MOH, JCI).
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care tailored to each neonate.
  • Supervise and guide junior nursing staff in delivering best-in-class NICU care.

💼 Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Participate in achieving international healthcare accreditation standards (e.g., JCI).
  • Comply with hospital policies, procedures, and fire & safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with physicians in conducting NICU-related procedures and assessments.
  • Independently administer medications including narcotics per the scope of practice.
  • Accurately document care from admission to discharge in EMR systems.
  • Educate patients’ families based on care plans, policies, and NICU protocols.
  • Monitor neonates continuously, respond to clinical changes, and update the team.
  • Maintain a clean, safe environment by following infection control & safety practices.
  • Assist in emergency responses, resuscitations, and code situations.
  • Ensure medical supplies and medications are stocked and equipment is functional.
  • Report incidents through established channels and follow-up on corrective actions.
  • Participate in in-service training, staff meetings, quality initiatives, and nurse education.
  • Maintain confidentiality and respect patient privacy and cultural sensitivities.
  • Perform additional duties per clinical assignment or supervisor instructions.

📋 Position Requirements / Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree or 3-year Diploma in Nursing from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 2 years’ total nursing experience, including 1 year in a NICU.
  • UAE Ministry of Health (MOH) license OR eligibility to obtain it.
  • BLS & NRP certifications (within 3 months of joining).
  • Current license in country of origin.

Desirable:

  • Prior experience in JCI-accredited settings.
  • Experience in UAE or in hospital commissioning environments.
  • Experience as nurse mentor or involved in preceptor/education programs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Fluency in English (Arabic is a plus).
