📍 About the Role:

  • Join the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Department at Tamworth Rural Referral Hospital in 2026.
  • Great opportunity to gain hands-on supervised clinical and surgical experience.
  • Work alongside:
    • 5 O&G Surgeons
    • 2 FTE Accredited Trainees
    • 3 FTE Unaccredited Trainees
    • 2 FTE Junior Medical Officers

💼 Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver planned and emergency clinical care in obstetrics and gynaecology.
  • Participate in:
    • Antenatal and gynaecological clinics
    • Ward duties
    • Caesarean sections
    • Gynaecological surgical lists
  • Manage patients under supervision within a complex and critical care environment.
  • Gain more theatre and clinic time than typically available in metro hospitals.
  • Collaborate within multi-disciplinary teams to support best practice and patient care.
  • Take part in an AMC-approved WBA program (Workplace-Based Assessment), with a waitlist under 12 months.

🌱 Candidate Requirements:

  • MBBS or equivalent; hospital-based clinical experience (minimum 3 years postgraduate).
  • Ability to work independently with appropriate supervision.
  • Strong communication, organisational, and teamwork skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continual professional development, patient safety, and quality improvement.
