Employment Information

Responsibilities

  • Collect medical information from patients, families, and other providers.
  • Perform examinations to identify diseases and injuries; provide acute care management.
  • Order and interpret labs, X-rays, and other diagnostics; determine appropriate treatments.
  • Prescribe and administer medications and therapies.
  • Perform or assist in routine surgeries.
  • Deliver babies; provide pre-natal and post-natal care.
  • Counsel patients and families on health, lifestyle, and wellness; support habit changes.
  • Coordinate and manage primary patient care; act as patient advocate.
  • Consult with other medical practitioners to evaluate physical and mental health.
  • Advise on preventive care; report births, deaths, and communicable diseases to authorities.

Work Model and Setting

  • On-site only (no remote).
  • Urban private practice.
  • Multiple locations within the organization.

Schedule and Terms

  • Permanent, full-time position.
  • Day shift, 40 hours/week.
  • Start as soon as possible.

Compensation and Benefits

  • CAD 300,000–500,000 annually (negotiable).
  • Free parking.

Credentials and Compliance

  • Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities.
  • Eligible for practice in Alberta.
